The company buys direct from local boats up and down the rocky coast of Maine and selects only the best for shipment. Ready Seafood offers different methods of packing depending on customer needs. The first way is the more traditional method of laying the lobsters flat on top of each other. The second way is the use of cell dividers. Lobsters are placed vertically, claws up, in individual cells. This method has become very popular for long trips and international travels. Ready Seafood places moistened newsprint or fresh picked seaweed on top of the lobsters to keep the product fresh and healthy during travel.
